Kashmir Gangabal Trek

Duration: 06 Nights / 07 Days
Day 01: Srinagar – Sonmarg – Thajiwas Glacier 84 Kms
Leave Srinagar by cars/coach and drive through picturesque village and arrive Sonmarg. Three Kilometers walk to Glacier. Camp at the foot of the Glacier which is 3000 Mtrs. Overnight in Tents.
Day 02: Thajiwas Glacier – Nichnai 13 Kms
Start trekking steep ascending upto Shkoder where from you can enjoy the beautiful view of the Glaciers and Sonmarg descend towards Nichnai (Shepherds Valley). Overnight in Tents.
Day 03: Nichnai – Vishnasar – Krishansar Lake 15 Kms
Leaving in the morning and immediately start ascending to Nichnai pass (13579 Ft) then descend towards Vishnasar and Krishnasar Lake 5/6 hours walking through the beautiful natural garden with many different wild flowers and crossing a stream at the end. Overnight in Tents.
Day 04: Krishansar – Gadsar 16 Kms.
Full day trek 6/7 hours walk towards Gadsar known as Botanist paradise steep ascending upto Krishansar pass which is 4080 Mtrs. Overnight in tents.
Day 05: Gadsar – Gangabal Lake 19 Kms.
Leaving Gadsar and easy ascending upto Poshpatri (The valley of flowers) than a gradual walking upto Megandub. From here steep and difficult trek to Zagibal peak 4180 Mtrs. This is the highest and tiring pass on this trek where you can see beautiful view of the Gangabal lakes and Harmukh peak. Overnight in tents.
Day 06: Gangabal
Day for leisure or Rainbow Trout Fishing at Gangabal lakes or full day visit to Lul Gul pass where from you can see beautiful view of Nanga Parbat. Overnight in Tents.
Day 07: Gangabal Naranag - Srinagar
Leaving Gangabal on the way see Trunkol and Nunkol two small Gypsies villages than a steep descend towards Naranag. At Naranag visit Buddhist monastery. It is said that 3rd world Conference of Buddhist was held some where around this place. Leave by car/coach to Srinagar 2 hours drive

Kolohia Galicer Trek

Duration: 07 Nights / 08 Days
 Day 1: Srinagar
On arrival at Srinagar , you will be met by our representative at the airport and transfer you to Deluxe Houseboat. Afternoon free for personal activities. Overnight at Houseboat.
Day 2: Srinagar - Local sightseeing 50 Kms
Half day tour of world famous Mughal Gardens visiting the Nishat Bagh (The garden of pleasure) and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love). Return to houseboat for hot lunch. In the afternoon Shikara ride on The Dal Lake to enjoy the beauty that God has graced this city with which is often compared to Venice . You will get a view of some very interesting places around the Lake . Overnight at Houseboat.
Day 3: Srinagar - Pahalgam 93 Kms
After breakfast, leave from Srinagar and drive to Pahalgam 2440 Mtrs (Vale of Kashmir) on the way visit Saffron fields and Avantipur ruins which is eleven hundred years old temple. Finally by the lunch time you will reach Pahalgam which is the most famous place for Indian Film Industry. After lunch enjoy the nature charm of the valley. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 4: Pahalgam - Aru drive - Lidderwat trek 6 Hrs
After breakfast drive to Pahalgam which will took 30 minutes. From Aru, the trail ascends the bridle track behind the village. The climb is quite steep in places until the trail reaches a small meadow. From here the track levels out as we trek through a forest, before reaching an alpine meadow that forms one of the most picturesque settings in Kashmir. The meadow is populated by gujar and Kashmiri spepherds who are fully aquainted with trekkers. We continue our trek until we passed the confluence of Lidder River and Tarsar River, origianatting from Tarsar Lake. We than cross the bridge which leads to Liddereat, our campsite for overnight. At a height of 2730 m.
Day 5: Lidderwat - Kolohia Galicer base trek 6 Hrs
After breakfast leave early for Kolohia Galicer which will took 6 hrs walking. This is the head of the Lidder valley and the base of a glacier of the same name. The glacier has twin peaks at 17,827 ft. It is a spectacular sight and there are camp sights around 14,000 ft. From Kolahia.Overnight at Tents
Day 6: Kolohia - Aru trek 6 Hrs - drive to Pahalgam
After breakfast trek to Aru via Ldderwat and reach Aru village where our car is waiting and drive to Pahalgam for overnight at Hotel.
Day 7: Pahalgam - Srinagar
After breakfast leave Pahalgam and drive to Srinagar at lunch time you will reach into the houseboat. Afternoon free for personal activities. Overnight at Houseboat
Day 8: Srinagar - Delhi
Transfer in time to the airport to connect onwards flight.

Amarnath Cave Via Pahalgam

Duration: 07 Nights / 08 Days
Day 1: Srinagar

Day 4: Pahalgam - Chandanwari (2895 M) 16 Kms drive - Sheshnagh 12 Kms trek
Leave after early breakfast from Pahalgam to Chandanwani by cars immediately starts trekking ascending towards Sheshnagh which is 12 Kms trek. steep ascending towards Pishoo Ghati pass 13000 Fts. Overnight in Tents at Sheshnagh.
Day 5: Sheshnagh (3377 M) - Panchtarni 14 Kms trek
Start early morning for a steep ascent upto Mahagunas (The great Viper 14500 Ft) then as easy descend upto Panchtarni situated at the foot of mount Bhairva . Overnight in Tents.
Day 6: Panchtarni (3657 M) - Amarnath (3953 M) 6 Kms trek - Baltal 4 Hrs Trek
Start after breakfast steep ascent towards Amarnath Holy Cave where you can see ICE LINGAM. This is the holy cave for Hindus & thousands of people visit the place during full Moon day. From Amarnath steep descend towards Baltal 3/4 hrs walk. Overnight in Tents.
Day 7: Baltal - Sonamrg - Srinagar (113 Kms drive )
From Baltal it is 15 Kms drive to Sonamrg. Sonmarg (2690 Mtrs) which is the most beautiful spot of Kashmir valley. Sonmarg is known as Gateway of Ladakh. Continue drive to Srinagar which takes 3 Hrs from Sonmarg. Overnight at Houseboat.
Day 8: Srinagar
Transfer in time to the airport to connect onwards destination flight.

Likir – Khalse Trek

On this trek there are several villages among the richest in Ladakh. This trekking is known as Sham valley or Apricot valley trek. Arrive at Likir monastery, where the track to Likir monastery meats in between Saspol – Bazgo, it is hardly an hour walk from the road.
Day 01: Leh - Likir (2 Hrs. drive) Yangtang (4/5 Hrs Trek)
Drive from Leh to Likir by Jeeps. Visit the monastery. After visiting the monastery proceed to Likir village and leaving behind the last houses enter in an arid terrain, start ascending towards a small pass PobeLa, arrive at Sumdo village cross the river and leaving Sumdo on the right side, continue in the valley for about an hour and finally reach at the summit of the CharastseLa. It is only half an hour to Yangtang from Charatse la summit. If you have little more time and interested to see monastery then visit Ridzong monastery which 2 ½ Hrs. trekking. Dinner and overnight at Tents.
Day 02: Yangtang Ang 4 Hrs Trek
Proceed to Wulle valley, very close 15 minutes only, then ascent for one hour to SermanchanLa and then descent towards Hemis Shukpachen a big village. Here Cedar is found in plenty, hence the name of the village. There is a beautiful gompa. After crossing the village, there is flat land, then steep descent, follow right side climb a steep slope to the summit of the Meptekla. It is 2 Hrs. hike from Hemis Shukpachen. Descent for half an hour and you are in Ang village. Camp near the river. A path leads to north towards Shyok valley. Dinner and overnight at Tent.
Day 03: Ang – Khalse (5 Hrs Trek) – Leh 3 ½ Hrs drive
From Ang we will proceed to Tingmogang village. It is richest valley in Ladakh. Apricots, Apples, Nuts are in plenty, houses are beautiful. A motorable road links Tingmogang with Nurla. Now to Tea village, with beautiful gompa, path through fields and houses. Above Tea is a monastery Katza. Climb Bongbogla about one hour from Tingsmogang. From here descending a long gentle slope, arrive at barren landscape then to the National Highway and one hour to Khaltse. From Khaltse 3 ½ Hrs. drive will take us to Leh.

Markha Valley Trek

The Markha Valley Trek is certainly one of the most varied and beautiful treks in the world. It ventures high into the Himalayas crossing two passes over 15,000 ft. as it circles from the edges of the Indus Valley, down into parts of Zanskar, and passes through terrain that changes from incredibly narrow valleys to wide open vast expanses. It is made all the more interesting by the ancient form of Buddhism that flourishes in the many monasteries that dot the landscape perched high atop hills. As we trek to the upper end of the Markha Valley we are rewarded with spectacular views of jagged snow capped peaks before cross the 16500 ft. Gongmarlu Pass and descending to the famous Hemis monastery, where weour trek. The trek has alternative route from Spituk also.
Day 01: Leh – Stok (drive) – Foot of Stokla (4900M) 3 Hrs. Trek
Leave Leh early morning by Jeeps and reaches at Stok. Start trek from Stok, after passing off Stok village and following left bank of the river for two hours, climb gently leaving a small pass on the left, continue onto a small valley, It is the foot of Stokla. Overnight in Tents.
Day 02: Foot of Stokla – Stokla – Yurutse 6/7 Hrs. Trek
After by passing this beautiful stopping valley, ascent upto Stokla 4900 Mtrs. by very steep zigzag, difficult footpath, by now it is 3 Hrs. Now steep descent to summer pastures of Stok and follow the river which comes from Stok – Kangri massif. Overnight in Tents.
Day 03: Yurutse – Gandala – Skiu 6/7 Hrs. Trek
Yurutse follow path along the mountainside, then cross a small valley and follow zig zag steep path. Thereafter cross Gandala. Then long descent towards Shingo. After 2 Hrs. descent arrive in the valley of Markha and then after few hundred meters further will reach Skiu. Overnight in Tents.
Day 04: Skiu – Markha 7 Hrs. Trek
From Skiu, follow a good path on the right bank of Markha where one can find great vegetation. Then cross right bank of river and cross through barren plain and arrive at Chaluk. Thereafter walk along the left bank of river and after another crossing climb towards Markha village. Good camp site beyond the village and near river. Overnight in Tents.
Day 05: Markha – Tchatchutse 6/7 Hrs. Trek
Start trek towards the main valley on the right bank. The path is sometimes difficult in the river bed and pass the monastery of Humlung. Then carry on trek along the right bank and arrive in Hankar where there are several houses. The path improves and cross a broad valley on the right side. The valley becomes narrow and higher and cross bridges on to the left bank and then reaches Tchatchuste. Overnight in Tents. 
Day 06: Tchatchutse – Nimaling (4700 M) 3 Hrs. Trek
Trek starts on good path and several small inclines. The river is rather far to the other side and walk near a small lake, then cross pasture to Nimaling. This is one of most beautiful high valleys in Ladakh dominated by the Kang Yaze. Trek ascent towards other side and gradually reach Nimaling. Overnight in Tents.
Day 07: Nimaling – Knogmarula (5150 M) – Shang 8 Hrs. Trek
Cross the Markha valley and follow long climb along the mountain side, then zig zag road leads towards Kongmarula. Follow steep descent into gorges and then keep walking on the left bank to Chukirmo. Thereafter crossing right and left bank and arrive Shang, a beautiful camp in groves and there is a monastery an hour away from the village. Overnight in tents.
Day 08: Shang – Hemis 4 Hrs. Trek – Leh 1 ½ Hrs. drive
Trek starts from the riverbed, then follow a good path through large blocks and then go left bank. You reach a dusty trail suitable for motor vehicles and then pass a small house and series of Chortens. Leave Martsellang on the right and follow a gently rising trail towards Hemis. Visit Hemis monastery after that drive towards to Leh via Shey and Thiksey monastery. Tour ends here.

Lamayuru– Alchi Trek

This is an interesting trekking during the trek you can visit three main monastery Wanla, Mang Gyu and Alchi of Ladakh region, founded by Rinchen Sangpo around the XIth century. Thehighest pass on this trek is Tarla 5250 Mtrs. which is difficult.
Day 01: Leh – Lamayuru (120 Kms)
Four to five hours drive will take us to Lamayuru which is one of the oldest and most famous monastery in the region situated on the National Highway route to Srinagar. Day to visit around the village and the monastery. Overnight in Tents.
Day 02 : Lamayuru – Wanla 4/5 Hrs.
Today is our first day to start trek immediately steep down and cross the stream, the gradually climbing across a mountain side and reach Prinkiti La 3720 Mtrs. Continue walk to Shilla then to Wanla. Visit the monastery. Overnight in tents.
Day 03 : Wanla – Urshi 6/7 Hrs. trek
Leave in the morning and easy ascending upto the destination. Arrive in the evening. Overnight in tents.
Day 04: Urshi – Tarla – Tar 8/9 Hrs. Trek
This is the difficult day but panoramic too, the path is well marked and steep ascending upto Tarla 5250 Mtrs. five and half hours walk. Another three hours descend and arrive at village of Tar. Overnight in Tents.
Day 05: Tar – Mang gyu 4/5 Hrs. Trek
Leave after breakfast and the path goes up along mountain side to a small pass, then easy descend towards Mang Gyu. This is attractive village with interesting monastery. Good camp site near the stream. Overnight in Tents.
Day 06: Mang gyu – Gera – Alchi 4/5 Hrs Trek – Leh 2 Hrs drive
From here good path into a beautiful narrow valley. After two hours reach the Indus valley at Gera village. Follow the Indus up stream cross Lardo continue untill reaching the motorable road. Three kilometers before Alchi. Another one hour time will take us to Alchi monastery. Drive to Leh which will take us 2 Hrs. Trek ends here.

Padam-Lamayuru Trek


Day 01: Padam – Karsha 4 Hrs Trek
Proceed towards Piptong then after passing through dusty plain cross Doda river climb and arrive at Karsha 15th century Monastery. Overnight in tents. 
Day 02: Karsha – Pishu 5/6 Hrs Trek
An easy and dusty walk after crossing Rinam there is a rock shelter and a small stream(Zanskar river). The longest hanging bridge (55 Mtrs) joining Zangla Gompa can be visited before arriving at Pishu. From Zangla a trail goes to Padam via Zozar and Thongde. Overnight in Tents.
Day 03: Pishu – Hanumil 5/6 Hrs Trek
Continue, to the left bank of Zanskar river and sometime crossing the morainic plateau after crossing a bridge, Pidmu is reached and after 2 hrs we reach at Hanumil. Overnight in Tents.
Day 04: Hanumil – Purfila – Snertse 6 Hrs
One hour easy path beyond Hanumil then it leads upto plateau from Zanskar edge then to the foot of the pass. After steep and difficult climb to Purfila 3900 Mtrs now steep descent will reach Oma-chu river. cross bridge and again after a steep and difficult climb of about one Km. Overnight in Tents.
Day 05: Snertse – Hanumala – Lingshad 9 Hrs Trek
Ascent through gorges and then passing a sheep fold. Further 3 hour will take to reach Hanumala (4700 Mtrs). Now after a Km of steep descent climb for half a Km, along mountain side and then descent towards Lingshad (3800 Mtrs). Overnight in tents.
Day 06: Lingshad – Foot of Singela 6/7 Hrs Trek
Around one hour easy climb up to Margumla (4100 Mtrs) descent along the slope (beautiful landscape) view of Nierang valley . After passing the village of Gongma (3840 Mtrs) and Skiumpata a steep ascent to Kubala (3800 Mtrs). Go on climbing upto the foot of Singela. Overnight in Tents.
Day 07: Foot of Singela – Singela – Photoksar 7 Hrs Trek
It takes about 7 to 8 Hrs to reach Photoksar from the pass then a short descent opens out in a board valley. First easy walk then climb the Boumitsela (4200 Mtrs) not arduous. Now descent to photoksar (3750 Mtrs). Overnight in tents.
Day 08: Photoksar – Sirsirla – Hanupatta 6 Hrs Trek
From Photoksar after a gentle climb of one hour takes to a large chorten after a long ascent is Sirsirla last ascent is steep. Now descent to river cross bridge and after passing stony valley arrive at the camp site little before Hanupatta (3450 Mtrs). Overnight in Tents.
Day 09: Hanupatta – Wanla/Shilla 6/7 Hrs Trek
Continue descent across the slop (the path cut into the rock) upto a junction of the rivers chorten and flittering flags on a flat land. After crossing a ridge go down passing through some fallen rocks arrive at Franjila (3 Hrs). wanla is located on a flat land reached after crossing bridge on the left bank of the river, cross another bridge and arrive at Shilla. Overnight in Tents.
Day 10: Wanla to Lamayuru
It is the last day of trekking route. After crossing the 10th pass Printiti-La (3400 m), it takes 3 hours to reach Lamayuru. After that drive 124 km to Leh and 106 km to Kargil.

Tsomoriri Lake Trek

Recently opened to foreigners due to the proximity of the Chinese boarder, the Changthang is a land of wilderness and magnificent landscapes. This region is characterized by high arid plains, remote villages, snow-capped peaks and beautiful high altitude azure-blue lakes, the largest being Tsomoriri at 4,500 m. Truly remote, this area is only accessible for a few months every summer and is inhabited by Changpas - nomadic yak and pashmina goat herders of Tibetan origin, who wander this area crossing over high altitude mountain passes. Our trek will take us across these passes to their summer settlements to witness a unique human culture, far away from the reaches of the modern world. The itinerary then goes south towards Spiti, following the western bank of the lake. The scenery is wild and vast with snow-capped peaks lining the far horizon. The trek ends at Tabo, famous for its monastery.
Day 01: Delhi - Leh (3500 m) by plane.
Afternoon at leisure. We can visit the palace and the gompa of Leh and the Stock royal palace.
Day 02: Visit of the high Indus valley's monasteries (Car).
Overnight at Hotel.
Day 03: Visit Stok royale palace, Spitok monastery and the Tibetan Camp of Choglamsar (Car).
These two days of visit are an excellent opportunity to get acclimatized for the Khardong La.
Day 04: Leh - Rumtse (4000 m) by taxi. Trek to Kyamar (4420 m) in 4 h.
We stop at Hemis to visit its monastery, one of the largest and most important of Ladakh. Later, we will continue to Rumtse, where the trek starts. We enter a magnificent and vast area, where the Changpas - nomadic herders take their yak to pasture. We follow the ancient salt along the green Kyamar valley.
Day 05: Kyamar - Kumur La (4770 m) - Tisaling (4805 m) in 5h 30.
We start through beautiful color gorge towards Chorten Sumda. Easy walk for one hour then ascend towards Kumur La. From the top one can see the beautiful view of the chain of Kangyatse and the chain of Indus valley.
Day 06: Tisaling - Shibuk La (4875 m) - Pangunagu (4800 m) in 5 h.
From the pass we get a panoramic view of the Tsokhar Lake (4400m)and the Rupshu valley. Then descend towards the lake, from witch the nomads collect some salt. We will camp near the winter camp of nomad people of Chanthang.
Day 07: Pangunagu - Nuruchan (4630 m) in 5 h.
Today we have an easy trek along the lake. On the way one can see many birds and Wild ass (Kyang) of Ladakh and Tibet plateau. At the end of the lake the trail goes right and enter the Nuruchan village.
Day 08: Nuruchan - Horlam Kongka La (4 900 m) - Kyamayuri La (5 410 m ) -Gyamabarma (4950 m) in 6 h.
This is a high altitude route and we will cross two passes around 4900 m.
Day 09: Gyamabarma - Yalung Nyau La (5 440 m) - Korzok (4550 m) in 6 h.
Trek over the Yalung Nyau La to Korzok, on the northwestern shore of Tso Moriri, the "Mountain Lake". We visit the Korzok monastery. Camp by the lake.
Day 10: Korzok - Kyangdam (4550 m) in 6 h 30.
Walk along the western shore of Tso Moriri to Kyangdam, an expansive grassland on the southern shore.
Day 11: Kyangdam - Narbu Sumdo (4450 m) en 6 h.
After crossing the river, the trail climbs up for a while and enter the Parang Chu valley.
Day 12: Narbu Sumdo - Parang Chu 1 (4850 m) in 5 h.
We gradually ascend the Prang Chu valley, on the right bank of the river.
Day 13: Parang Chu 1 - Parang Chu 2 (5000m) in 5h 30.
The trail passes through a narrow gorge involving many ascents and descents to the side valleys and streams
Day 14: Parang Chu 2 - Parang La (5500 m) - Jugstok (4800 m) in 7 h.
After the frontal moraine of the Parang glacier, the trail continues on the opposite bank, thorough a mass of fallen rocks. After making our way over a few patches of snow, we climb gradually up to Parang La. The top of this Pass presents spectacular viewpoints of the peaks and ranges of Lahol and Ladakh. The Parang Chu, whose source is on the southern slopes of Parang La, can be seen below.
Day 15: Jugstok - Kiber (4205 m) in 7 h.
Steap descend towards the Sampa Lungpa valley. After crossing a little pass, the Thaltak La (4600 m),one can see towards Parilungbi in the Lingti Valley and Shilla. We soon reach the little hamlet of Dumla, a tiny green oasis, then Kibber, which is the highest village in the world.
Day 16: Kiber - Tabo (3050 m).
Transfer by taxi, along the Spiti river (60 Km - 4 h). We reach Kyi in less than 3 hours and have all afternoon to explore this fascinating village and the jumble of the white buildings that is the gompa, perched high on a rocky hill above the village. Afterwards, we visit the Tabo monastery, one of the most important gompas, not just in Spiti but in the whole Tibetan Buddhist world. There is also a modern gompa and a painting school founded by the Dalai Lama.
Day 17: Tabo - Kyato. Transfer by taxi.
Day 18: Kyato - Kunzum La (4590 m) - Rohtang La (3980 m) - Manali.
Transfer by taxi. This is quite long drive, about 8 to 9 hours. We will cross two passes split by the Chandra valley.
Day 19 : Manali - Delhi by night bus.
Visit old Manali, Hadimba temple and Vashisht village. In the late afternoon we will take the night bus to Delhi .

Manali- Darcha-Padam Trek

In this trek we visit one of the most popular and beautiful region of ladakh which we called ZANSKAR. Zanskar is known as a land of religion and has greatest concentration of Gompas in Ladakh, outside the Indus valley. The important ones are Sani, Karsha and Thonde in the central plain, Bardan and Phugtal just off the Padum Darcha trail .Zanskar has two rivers flowing towards each other along the northern flank of the Great Himalayas, meet in the broad plain of Padum. They become the Zanskar river which flows off northwards through a gorge in the Zanskar range. On this trek we have cross pass of Shingola which is 5090 Mtrs. During last day of this trek one can drive to Ladakh or Srinagar by Jeeps/Coach.
Day 01: Manali Darcha 8/9 Hrs drive
Leaves Manali and climbs upto the Rohtang pass and then winds down into the Lahaul valley. Overnight in tents.
Day 02: Darcha Chhalang Topko 6/7 Hrs. Trek
After passing two villages arrive at Chalang Tokpo 3580 Mtrs. Overnight in tents.
Day 03: Chhalang Topko – Zanskarsumdo - Ramjak
After a major for ascending the valley on the right there are good but hard paths on the both sides of the stream. Arrive at Ramjak a small meadow. Overnight in Tents.
Day 04: Ramjak – Chhumikanakpo 7 Hrs. Trek
Easy walk towards the stream flowing from Shingola and arrive Chhumikanakpo 4060 Mtrs. Overnight in tents.
Day05: Chhumikanakpo – Shingola – Lakong 8/9 Hrs. Trek
Today is harder zig-zag path leads to Shingola pass (5090 Mtrs) another one hour is Lakong (4450 Mtrs).Overnight in Tents.
Day 06: Lakong – Kurgiakh/Table (4000 M) 6/7 Hrs. Trek
Passing beneath the face of the Gomborangoo descent easily towards Kugiakh on the right bank. Either camp at Kugiakh or continue for another two hour upto Table . Overnight in Tents.
Day 07: Kurgiakh/Table – Purne (3745 M) 6/7 Hrs. Trek
After half an hour walk from Table is Tanza on the right bank, now cross in front of a narrow gorge and arrive at the junction where the trekking route from Darcha via Baralachala joins.Tanza is a small village with a Gompa in ruins on
highest elevation. Overnight in Tents.
Day 08: Purne – Phuktal Gompa – Purne 4/5 Hrs. Trek
Phuktal monastery is like a honeycomb, cut into a rock under a gignantic grotto and has more than 70 Monks. The library three large and one small prayer room etc and the grave of Gangsem Sherap Sampo who founded Phuktal. In the cave over the monastery there is a hollow in rock the water level of which never reduces even after taking out any amount of water from there. Water is said to have healing powers. There is also a stone tablet left by Alexander Cosmo de Koros an Hugaraian who explore Tibet and lived in this monastery in 1826-27. Overnight in Tents.
Day 09: Purne – Ichar 5/6 Hrs. Trek
After crossing small canyons of pudding -stones which leads to char village. After 2 hrs is Kaydang a village in a power grove. The trial is rough and difficult for horses at Hamuni and Surle after crossing a large village arrive at Ichar, green oasis in the monotonuus grey-brown. Overnight in Tents.
Day 10: Ichar – Mone 5/6 Hrs. Trek
After descending towards Reru and crossing a plain with wild flower (flowering in July-Aug) Overnight in Tents.
Day 11: Mone – Padam (3650 M) 5/6 Trek
After short walk cross Tema and reach Charmocha Kore camping ground. It goes on the past to large rock where from Bardan Gompa is visible. Bardan Gompa is famous for its giant wheel (1.8 Mtrs high) this Gompa was founded by Shabdru who also found Hemis Monastery and continue walk to Padam which is capital of Zanskar valley. Overnight in Tents.
Day 12: Padam
Day at Padam and visit around the town. Overnight in Tents.
Day 13: Padam – Rangdom (150 Kms) 6/7 Hrs drive
After breakfast leave for Rangdom 5/6 Hrs drive from Padam. On the way we visit Sunni Gompa. After crossing Penzila pass 4401 Mtrs we reach Rangdom and visit the Gompa. Overnight in Tents.
Day 14: Rangdom – Kargil (135 Kms) 6/7 Hrs. drive
Today we drive close to Nun and Kun peaks and visit interesting villages Parkachan and Panikar arrive Kargil in the evening. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 15: Kargil – Leh/Srinagar
From here one may take Ist option drive to Leh or 2nd option to Srinagar.

Chandrakhani – Malana Trek

Little ahead of the beautiful Chandra Khanni pass lies a tiny village of Malana, which is famous for the temple of Jamlu and its distinct and fully reserved social and cultural setup. The wonder might strike out from here to the solitary Malana pass and village. The people of Malana are rough and tough. The villagers not only survive in these conditions, but live quite happily. There are nearly 1100 persons in the village and the population is growing steadily.
Day 01 : Manali – Rumsu
After 24 Kms drive we reach Nagar. Delightfully situated on a wooded slope and commanding an extensive view of the valley, it is famous for its temples, ancient caste and the Roerich Art Gallery. After short walk we reach Rumsu. Overnight in tents.
Day 02 : Rumsu – Chandrakhani 9 Kms
The legend says that thousands of years ago, Jamlu (Presiding deity of Malana) was carrying a basket containing gods of Kullu. On the top of the pass when he opened the casket, a very strong wind blew the gods all over Kullu valley to their present abodes. Since then the valley is known as the valley of gods. A striking view of Deo Tibba overlooking the Malana glen and other snow crowned giants on the Spiti border is obtainable. Overnight in tents.
Day 03 : Chandrakhani – Malana 8 Kms.
Malana comprises two villages about a hundred yards apart. Village containing temple buildings is considered sacred and no one wearing leather shoes is allowed within its precincts. People of Malana are rough and tough. Their village lies on top of a mountain about 10,500 ft. above sea level completely cut off from the rest of the state. For six to eight months a year, the area is snow bound and inaccessible making farming and sheep rearing their main livelihood impossible to carry out. Overnight in tents.
Day 04 : Malana – Rashol 19 Kms.
Today it is tiring walk but panoramic too. A wonderful view of Pin Parvati range of mountains. Overnight in tents.
  Day 05 : Rashol – Kashol 9 Kms.
Charmingly camping site. A broad expanse of clean white sand, a striking view of aiguilles. Overnight in tents.
Day 06 : Kashol – Jari 10 Kms. – Bhuntar 12 Kms.
Nestles on a hill side shelf well above the Parvati River, clean comfortable and Welcome resting place. There is also dusty motorable road from Jari to Kashol. It is located on Manikaran road. Confluence of the Beas and Parvati, a heavy volume of laden grey water. Above on a projecting bluff is the site of the most striking temple (Bijli Mahadev). From Bhuntar one can stay overnight in Kullu or drive to Manali which is 40 Kms.

Chandertal Trek

This is a short but interesting trek and gives the trekker an opportunity to peep the heights of Kullu valley. Typical Himalayan villages and Shephards (Gaddi) are sure to be there to greet you. On reaching the Lake, one touches an altitude of 4800 Mtrs. Patches of snow and the green view of the valley below ensure a good experience.  
Day 01: Manali – Jagatsukh ( 7 Kms drive) – Chikka
After a short drive visit the ancient temple at Jagatsukh . Immediately start trek on a long grassy bank, sloping down from the cliffs, it is an ideal location for the end of the day’s march. The impressive grandeur of immediate surroundings, the nearness of the Tokru Shakru peaks, the wonderful colouring of rocks and mountain side. Overnight in tents.
Day 02: Chikka – Chhatru 16 Kms.
Over the Hamta pass 4270 Mtrs. In the Lahaul valley, distant and massive mountains dominate and landscape their serrated peaks silhouetted against the deep blue horizon. Close views of Deo Tibba and fabled Indrasan Peaks. Overnight in tents.
Day 03: Chhatru – Chhota Dara 16 Kms
Leave in the morning and whole day walking through the rugged valley. Overnight in tents.
Day 04 : Chhota Dara – Batal 15 Kms
Batal is situated at the foot of Kunzum pass which provides the main approach to Spiti from Lahaul. The panorama as viewed from the top of the pass is enthralling and inspiring. On the way is Bara Shigri glaciers. Bara meaing big and Shigri meaning glacier in Lahaul dialect. The view of the Shigri stream emerging from beneath a huge iridescent archway of solid ice is a never to be forgotten sight. Behind the archway lies the Shigri glacier climbing up to dizzy height. The glacier is mountainous mass of solid ice, more than a kilometer wide and ex tending over a distance of ten kilometers. Overnight in tents.
Day 05 : Batal - Chandratal 17 Kms.
Chandratal means the lake of Moon. This lake of exuisite beauty is set on a large meadow of edelweiss between a lower ridge and the main Kunzum range with an outlet into the Chandra river. A beautiful view of the Samudra Tapoo Glacier and of Mulkila range is obtainable. Overnight in tents.
Day 06 : Chandratal – Tokpo Yongma 12 Kms.
Leave in the morning aftger five to six hours walk we reach to the camping site, a little ahead of the camping site lies a stream that has to be forded the next day early in the morning. Camp little away from the stream. Overnight in tents.
Day 07 : Tokpo Yongma – Tokpo Gongma 11 Kms.
Start early morning because most mountain streams are low in the morning. The later part of the day generally makes the stream swell, making crossings almost impossible. After crossing the stream, a six hours walk brings us to another barren camping site surrounded by rocky hills. Overnight in tents.
Day 08 : Tokpo Gongma – Baralacha la (4883 Mtrs.)
Today’s trail takes us through high country strewn with myriad streams flowing through green meadows. Ahead lies the Baralachala pass. Baralacha means summit with cross roads. Roads from Spiti, Ladakh, Zanskar and Lahaul meet here and in ancient times it was part of a trade route. On the North West lies the Bhaga river while the Chandra flows Sout East. Tonight it will be the coldest night during the whole tour. Overnight in tents. From here there are many different options. One can continue trek till Darcha via Shingola or directly to Darcha. Another option the bus/jeep will pickup you from the Baralachala and will take you to Leh.
